25 weeks and counting….

So far so good.  I’ve been feeling good lately, just growing and growing which makes getting around a little slower these days, but I’m managing.  As usual, Ryan is being so helpful and wonderful.  Tomorrow I am going in for another quick check-up and my glucose screening (test for gestational diabetes) I am sure everything will go smoothly there.  Immediately after that we are hopping a plane for Dallas and will be there through the 26th.  I can’t wait to see my family and friends.  My shower is on Sunday, which should be a wonderful time for seeing a lot of people I haven’t seen since we moved (almost a year now).  We are also looking forward to getting to spend the holidays with both of our families.

Since I’m running a little behind this year, we aren’t mailing Christmas cards but I have put it at the bottom for you to see what it would look like!  Next year we will definitely have one with lots of pictures of Luke!!

Baby’s now the size of an eggplant!
That oh-so-handy sense of equilibrium is kicking in, and baby’s learning to distinguish right side up from upside down.

How your baby’s growing

Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. His weight — a pound and a half — but he’s beginning to exchange his long, lean look for some baby fat. As he does, his wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and he’ll start to look more and more like a newborn. He’s also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you’d now be able to discern its color and texture.

I’ll be 26 weeks a couple days before Christmas, so I probably won’t be posting.  So for now, Merry Christmas to you all.  We love you and pray you have a blessed new year…
